For urgent issues, please call Dr. Mehdi’s office (519-645-2444 ext 7) for same-day or same-week appointments, or check the group’s After-Hour Clinic schedule below. 

In case of medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Department.

For patients who have difficulty attending regular daytime appointments and can only come in during evenings or on Saturdays, please call Dr. Mehdi’s office. You may be accommodated in one of Dr. Mehdi’s After-Hours Clinics. Please note that these appointments are limited and are reserved for those with genuine need.

  • Health Advisory

If you have an acute viral illness that started within the last 24 hours or active gastroenteritis with vomiting/diarrhea, please do not come to the clinic, as it could be highly contagious. Instead, take care of yourself at home, monitor your symptoms, and call us to leave a message for triage.

Note:

After Hours Clinic is for urgent issues only (such as fever, new ear pain, new rash, UTI, asthma attack etc). Please call the on-call physician between 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm to reserve a spot. No intake after 6:30 pm.

Appointment Cancellation Policy:

No-Show Policy:

  • 24-hour notice required for cancellation (by phone).
  • If no 24-hour notice → marked as “No-Show.”
  • $50 charge for No-Show.
  • Repeated No-Shows may result in discharge from practice.

Note:

Online bookings can be cancelled through the confirmation email. If you have trouble cancelling online, call the office.

Prescription Refill Policy:

Reviewing your condition before renewing a prescription is necessary for your safety. Medication renewals should be completed during your visit or scheduled phone appointment. Renewal requests sent by pharmacies increase workload. A fee may apply for pharmacy renewal requests.

Narcotics policies:

Dr. Laraib Mehdi does not prescribe narcotics for non-cancer chronic pain. If a patient is already on narcotics, the goal will be to taper off and explore other pain control methods.
